How To Save Money Using Less Energy

Useful Tips:
Turn off all unused lights and appliances.
Use energy saving compact fluorescent lights (CFL) wherever possible. These light bulbs use about 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer.
Reduce hot water temperature settings to 115°F. and install timer on each water heater.
Install solar hot water heaters to save maximum energy.
Reduce air conditioning and hot water heater operation when home is unoccupied.
Fix leaky or dripping water faucets.
Keep air conditioning filters clean.
Air-dry dishes instead of using your dishwasher's drying cycle
Use your microwave instead of a conventional electric range or oven.
Plug home electronics, such as TV's and computer and monitors into power strips /surge protectors and turn power strips off when equipment is not in use.
Wash only full loads of dishes and clothes.
